Thank you ksan for the shots!!
The narrower inside of M6/Mp mounts are due to additional light blocking plates for reducing reflections. I have looked inside with the back opened and sure that these plates will not block the end of DR.
For my MP, the issue is the rangefinder coupling pin, i.e. the silver color stainless steel round button size roller at top, inside the mount. You can use your finger to push it in and out. The maximum "in" position of this roller pin is less by 1-2mm compare to M2/3, hence causing the issues with DR on my MP. May be there will be other issues on other models.
If you like to see how it actually works too, very simple:
1. insert the lens to M2/3, turn it up side down
2. open the camera back
3. open the shutter using B (continue press down while you look)
4. turn the focusing ring of the lens from normal to close focus while look thru the back, very interesting!
5. do the same for other models to compare where is the issue
