In old Havana, it is generally safe for tourists. I had no problem hanging my camera around, but I did stay alert the whole time. Police are everywhere at the main streets, but not in alleyways where I actually walked around most of the time. Some people approached me to chat but they just wanted to sell me something, like cigars, girls and personal tour around the city. I even took the local bus to the Santa Maria Beach, it was also okay, just that a girl really wanted to show me around. |
