Leica's body design grid always has horizontal edge in 90 degrees/straight lines.
Only vertical ones are curved.
This has been happening since the screw mount cameras.
Now this one is all curved on every edge,
IMO, this is one reason it loses a familiar and instant Leica feel.
I do like the greyish leatherite and the silverish top and bottom plates. Great modern feel. BTW, modern designers are becoming less inerested in black. A fashion cycle anyway.
But it depends how sillverish it is...unfortunately a picture cannot tell for us.
I always do not like the red logo against a silver body but...Leica's marketing department must have argued like hell for it.
The material/paint texture is also important.
The ME already tells us some designs or colors are not photogenic.
This one could fall into the same trap.
It is already a much better and decent design than Da Silver's M9 Ti set. |
