i agree that sensor development comes to a bottleneck, but this is not the main reason why I got disappointed by Nikon. My frustration is more about how they design their bodies, and how they become quite reluctant to new and innovative ideas. For example, I would expect something like a hybrid viewfinder for DF, and some more advanced system for manual focus. I would expect WIFI capacity for D800/E, or at least a vertical grip with WIFI built-in.
If we look at other camera manufacturers, I think Fujifilm, Sony, and Sigma are a lot more innovative and aggressive. Sometimes their products are not perfect, but they do things with new vision. Nikon is just like an old giant. And very soon, it will stop being a giant. |
