I have not been that impressed by photos, seen so far, from the new M240.
But I have never own one, nor have I played around with any.
I always hope that maybe, like what other c hings said, I'd change my mind once I can have actual hand-on experience on this new M,
so that ... I can make good use of ALL those expensive non-RF-coupled lenses I acquired in the first two weeks of 2013 ...
Today, I accompanied another c hing to test the S adaptor C in LeicaShop.
We were fortunate enough to have the shop-keepers there allowiong us to try on a demo unit of Leica M ... ...
So, it was confirmed that ...
the "roasted goose" is not my cup of tea
the ergonomics of the "plates" does not fit my hand
the "back of plate" is not as bright and clear as some other much cheaper Japanese ones
the shutter, though a bit lighter now, is still noisy enough to be heard in a crowded mall ...
the live-view and magnification function ... arrrhhhhh ... you have to use more than one finger ... and if you are not careful enough, you may have changed onto the next function of the front button without you knowing it ...
and the peaking assist ? Oh, sorry, the red color is too faint for my aging eyes to notice its presence :p
Well, we both walked out of LeicaShop with peace of mind ...
that c hing has got his S adaptor C, on the first day available in HK, and
I have my mind settled ... wait for the next M, or any FF mirrorless, and see how they perform ...
