Noct OR 11663

I really hard to decide buy Noct V2 or 11663 ?? Dear M-Classic C-Hings. Any comments and advise. Would you share your experience on this matter ? I use MP, won't to buy digital M-camera body or A7...........

Every Leica user need to use or try the Noct at least once. It is a Leica signature.

Of course it also depends on what focal length you prefer, for me it'll be a no-brainer because I simply can't shoot 35mm...

I like quality image by Noct at f1, special by Ghost-Hing, were posted birthday party with his family in a park last week ago, but I rarely use 50mm, also want to try 11663........

Why not get a Noct, and get a cheaper 35mm. May be a Summaron 35mm. Or even a pre A, or a 35mm cron 6 elements. 11663 is cool, but it is just another 35mm that's very very cool.

Noct is a unique lens. Nothing can compare with it.

Pandachief, I have some 35mm old lens, Summaron, f2.8, 7 elements and 8 elements, don't have ASPH yet.

I am re-thinking about Noct. One more question. Am I need to do re-calibration / fine tuning between M-Body with "new" Noct ? thanks.

I don't think so... if all your Ms are calibrated accurately.

Noct will have some focus shift especailly if use on digital. I calibrate mine to focus accurately wide open. That's almost all I will use when using a Noct.. wide open at F/1.

You have any 50mm ASPH?

If you only shoot film, older lens is fine bor..

35 FLE is "must buy" for digital Leica, but not for film. I can't live without 11663 because I use only digital Leica.

I guess Noct is much more interesting for film.

Agree. Go for the Noct and get Summ35mm. (I am saving up and waiting for a Noct.95 at a good second hand price - when i get the green light from my wife!)

These two animals, Noc and 11663, are totally difference while put in use, and hardly to say which one overweighs the other. Depends on the view that you prefer, 35mm or 50mm, both lenses are worth to keep, the only decision to make is whether which one you are going to own first.

Many Chings mentioned that 11663 is good at digital shooting, of course, I have no doubt on it. But it is damn good when using 11663 to shoot film as well.
